Step 1: The Bloom Baby Process

Please begin by watching the video tutorial reviewing the the essential document, “Getting Started with Bloom Baby”. In it we outline each step you will need to take in receiving client referrals, sending specific email correspondence, completing contracts, and more. You will also need to download and/or print this document and read it thoroughly! Information from this document, including the “Sample Emails”, will be needed to complete your Skills Assessment.

Step 2: COVID-19 Recommendations

With the continued impact of Covid-19, supporting our Clients and affiliated Doulas to be as safe as possible remains important to us. Based upon current information and state-wide statistics we would like to offer you the following guidelines and recommendations, to be considered as they apply. These recommendations have also been added to all client contracts to facilitate full transparency and open communication. As always, we are happy to answer any additional questions you may have. We recommend that: 

•  Complimentary consultations take place virtually, or in a mutually agreed-upon space where appropriate social distancing may be maintained, if desired.


• Each Doula works with one client at a time unless there is transparency in regard to the precautions being taken (which may include discussion around vaccination status and/or Covid-19 testing) & there is mutual agreement between all potentially involved parties.

• All prenatal visits with your Birth and/or Postpartum Doula take place virtually, or in a mutually agreed-upon space where appropriate social distancing may be maintained, if desired.
 

• Clients and Doulas maintain full transparency in discussions about any potential exposure and/or developing symptoms throughout the working relationship.

Step 3: Skills Assessment - Part 1

When you have thoroughly reviewed all of the above, please complete the first portion of your Skills Assessment before moving on.

Step 4: Client Contracts

Please review the applicable tutorial video(s) and contract(s) for the services you will be offering as an Affiliated Bloom Baby Doula. The video tutorial(s) will walk you through how to fill in your contract(s) before sending them to clients, to sign. Be sure to download and read the applicable contract(s) thoroughly! It is important to be well acquainted with these contracts as they are the only contracts to be used for clients referred to you by Bloom Baby.

Step 5: Skills Assessment - Part 2

To complete your Skills Assessment please download the applicable contract(s) above in PDF format. If you are unsure of how to edit a PDF file, please watch this instructional video. It is important to be comfortable with this process as we request that all Bloom Baby Contracts be sent, signed, and submitted electronically.

Please reference the Bloom Baby Tiers & Fees chart below as you complete this final step. For those offering both Birth & Postpartum services as an Affiliated Bloom Baby Doula, please be sure to complete both forms.

Step 6: Orientation & Mentorship Call

As a final step, please schedule your Orientation & Mentorship Call below. This call is intended as a time to go over anything you may have missed in the Skills Assessments and to answer any additional questions you may have before you begin receiving Bloom Baby Client Referrals. If you can not find an available time that works for your schedule, please reach out to us directly and we will work with you to arrange an alternate time.
